Charity communications and social enterprises

Charity communications

Brighton & Hove's entrepreneurial spirit is matched only by its strength in the charity and social enterprise sector.

With its understanding of the psychology of messaging, the Persuasion Copywriting approach is highly relevant to charity communications. Brighton Copy & Content’s approach is also based on the work of Peter Singer, Professor of Bioethics at Princeton, who is widely regarded as the authority on the psychological factors affecting communications and persuasion in the charity sector, and is the author of The Life You Can Save.

Knowledge and experience

Our approach also draws upon the extensive knowledge and experience of founder, Bob Maddams. who has worked as a communications consultant for both international NGOs and local charities, including Oxfam, Unicef, UNDP, Water Aid, Womankind, Dogs Trust, ASTI (Acid Survivors Trust International), St Wilfrid's Hospice, Refugee Support and The Martlets.

Video for charities

As anyone who works in the charity sector knows, no other medium has the emotional communications power of video. Producing videos for charities is a speciality and Brighton Copy & Content has written and produced advocay, fundraising and training videos for local and national charities.
