Charity communications and social enterprises

Charity communications

With its understanding of the psychology of messaging, the Persuasion Copywriting approach is highly relevant to charity communications. This approach is also based on the pioneering work of Peter Singer, Professor of Bioethics at Princeton, who is widely regarded as the authority on the psychological factors affecting communications and persuasion in the charity sector, and is the author of The Life You Can Save.

Knowledge and experience

Our approach also draws upon the extensive knowledge and experience of founder, Bob Maddams. who has worked as a communications consultant for both international NGOs and local charities, including Oxfam, Unicef, UNDP, Water Aid, Womankind, Dogs Trust, ASTI (Acid Survivors Trust International), St Wilfrid's Hospice, Refugee Support and The Martlets.

As well as creating fundraising campaigns, Bob also specialises in advocacy and behaviour change storytelling.

Video for charities

No other medium has the emotive power of video, and no other form of communication is as effective as storytelling. Put the two together and you have a powerful and highly influential combination which can move people in all sorts of ways.

Bob has written and produced videos for both large and small charities, often working as a one-man-band videographer to keep costs as low as possible. You can see examples of his work here.
